The Open-Ecosystem Standard
Black Forest Labs' FLUX 3 (unveiled July 23, 2026) is a multimodal frontier model covering image, video (up to 20 seconds, FHD 1920×1088 at 24fps with synchronized audio), and robot action prediction (FLUX-mimic). FLUX 3 Video reached general availability August 4, 2026 and FLUX 3 Image followed on October 1, 2026 through the BFL API and Playground, with 4K output, up to 10 references and bounding-box layout control. Open weights for FLUX 3 Image are promised but not yet released; commercial weights are licensed to enterprises. Prior FLUX 1/2 open-weight models remain available.
