Codeium became Windsurf, then was acquired by Cognition and relaunched as Devin Desktop (June 2026): an agent-first IDE with an Agent Command Center. Cognition shipped SWE-2 on September 10, 2026, superseding SWE-1.7 as the platform's most capable coding model.
